The Bluestem Program will be the only treatment program in the nation where a person misusing substances, their partner, and their children receive holistic, full-family care in a home that’s all theirs. It’s a safe alternative to foster care that aims to end addiction’s cycle across generations.

Substance abuse affects the entire family. Yet traditional models separate children and parents to treat them individually. This effort to protect children in the short-term results in long-term trauma that can be hard to repair and fuels generational cycles of addiction.

  • Private housing for 12+ months

  • 24/7 on-site staff to ensure children’s safety

  • Addiction treatment

  • Parenting skills coaching

  • Family therapy

  • Trauma therapy

  • Coordination with child welfare case manager

  • Connections to health, education, employment, and food resources

  • Aftercare services to transition back home
